Testimonial
The apartment was great for us as a family. A fabulous location, especially for our surfing lessons, and lots of good shops and restaurants were an easy walk. Highly recommend this as a base for your stay in Biarritz.

Welcome to Biarritz
The vibrant and charming little French Atlantic coast town Biarritz, is considered by many as Europe’s surf home. Surfing came to Europe via Biarritz through a Hollywood production in 1956 and currently both beginners and pros surf the waves all year round.

However, Biarritz is not just surfing. The town has a history dating back to the 12th century and as part of the Basque country is has a distinct culture. Biarritz has managed to preserve its historic charm mixed with a focus on beach and surf. On the streets you meet both surfing vagabonds from all over the world as well as chic Parisians in designer clothing and French elderly men in nice berets.

All this, together with a rich cafe, restaurant and club scene, and proximity to both Spain and Bordeaux makes it to us the perfect holiday destination to give the surf dream a chance.

Falling in love with Biarritz

We like Biarritz to such an extent that we decided to buy us an early twentieth century house here. We call it Surfhouse Biarritz and we would be delighted if you would like to stay in one of our five apartments.

All apartments were completely renovated during 2011-12 and designed to create smart and functional accommodation, suitable for holidays and surfing. It has been a long journey to realize the dream, but now we are really excited about the result.

The decor is Scandinavian-inspired and designed with the environment in mind, both through additional energy conservation measures and materials. A future sustainable world is second nature to us and we will continue working in that direction.

The house is ideally situated 300 meters from the Côte des Basques and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the town center.
